I'm not talking about being in the bank when the perp pulls his handgun.

I'm talking about being in the parking lot while something is going on in the Mall/Bank/Building....etc.

Do you pull your gun and go after the shooter>?

Are you concerned that the police will think you are the bad guy with the gun and shoot you????

You are allowed to defend anyone in danger.....

You wouldn't have the benefit of knowing the context of the shooting. How would you know you're in an active shootier situation? Or that the shooter was conceal carrying and shooting in defense?

This happened at a mall recently in Birmingham.

LINK .

I'm usually carrying a pocket .32 with 7 rounds, don't know if I'd engage an active shooter or not.

Hell No...you leave...nothing good going to come of it.

Now if you are in the store/mall and he's right in front of you...done deal.

Texas has a law firm that specializes in Conceal Carry/Self Defense. That's their specialty...quite a few people pay them in a nominal yearly fee for representation in stuff like this...Espcially if its in a shite area...i.e Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin. Basically anywhere run by liberal/Soros DAs that will look to make a criminal out of a guy who maybe saved 10s of people.

You'd be crazy not to. With these idiot cops these days they see you with a gun they'll just shoot you without even stopping to think

Get out/away
Protect myself and immediate family with me
If and only if the perpetrator is very close would I ever consider anything else.
Would never go after

This thread is interesting. I thought good guys with guns are supposed to be the solution to these situations?

Only reason to go in without the protection of the law is because you have family in there.

It's totally different if you are on the inside, but on the outside your will be railroaded by the government.

So your angle is to worry about disarming the good guys and have zero opinions on the bad guys w the gun.

Sometimes they are. Like the guy who took out the active shooter in a mall food court a while back. The difference is he didn’t charge back into the mall to kill the guy (not that I’d have a problem with that); he was already there.

that's another angle, all of these conceal/open carry John Wayne/Clint Eastwood wannabes would more than likely be targeted by others like them as being one of the bad guys, it would be a firefight to end all firefights
