I’m 47. Based on the lifespan of past male relatives in my family, I expect to make it to the 78-83 year old time frame.
I expect to see regular commercial sub-orbital international airline flights. I’d like to see the darkness of space and the curvature of the Earth below me, and experience weightlessness before I kick it.

Late 30s. Think I’ll be happy just to make it through my 70s. Don’t want to live to be 85+ if it’s miserable.

People aren't seeing how Space X can be used for terrestrial transportation. It's going to be expensive but going to Australia in just a few hours would be cool.
Now, think about how the military can transport equipment around the earth in just hours.

I’ve done the Dallas to Sydney hop several times and it’s a lonnnnnng drag. To be able to fly to Australia to see family and be there in 3-4 hours would be sweet.

My prediction is darker - the US will become much more divided upon economic lines.
The rich will get richer.
The poor will get poorer.
The middle class will greatly diminsh.
Property values will tank. If you own property, you'll be stuck living there forever unless you sell out to a corporation or let it go back to the bank.
There will be a lot more civil unrest.

I'm 33. With family history I'd bet I make it to 80 barring an accident.
I very much hope I live to see the elimination of the personal automobile other than hobbies. Self driving cars will save countless lives and be far more efficient.

Born in the 1960s and in great physical condition.
So I reasonably could make 25-30 more years.
Sadly the loss of some family and friends as well as the bad things that life can send to people, health and otherwise.
But, on the positive side, the addition of new family members and progress and triumphs of those I care about.
As to technology and world events, I’m along for the ride.
Politics and journalism are currently a shitstorm. I don’t know where that will be in 10,20, or 30 years but I’m not optimistic about it.
So I reasonably could make 25-30 more years.

With me approaching 74, I likely don't have many more years to go more than likely, but if nothing else, I'd love to know without a doubt if there is alien life outside this planet.

We used to tabletop a roleplay game called ShadowRun. They had what you're talking about. In the game they were called SubOrbital Flights.
Plane launches, goes up. Hits whatever altitude, trajectory changes, comes back down.

Do we really need people living longer at the end of their lives? Do we need someone who would normally die at 78 (due to cancer or whatever) living to 85, needing tremendous amounts of care and taking a ton of resources? When he/she is just barely existing, with low QoL?

True. The only humane thing for Scruffy to do is to off Scruffy at 60.
