Too many boards.

I know it's good for the owners, but this is relatively small site.

All the boards and sub-boards and sub-sub-boards are silly.

but, without all of the different boards, what would the "wrong board" douches do for fun?

TD could make some easy change if it would add a "premium membership" level for $10-15 a year, and add some of the features that people want the most, like PMing, access to special forums.

For the numbers of upvotes and down votes to change a posts position in the thread.

Or a "top response" spot.

This is the only message board I've frequented that didn't have options to tag people or send PMs.

The main thing I want is a "sort by most recent reply" option within posts.

But that's what Reddit does and everyone here hates it

That's probably because Reddit is like Eye Cancer.

Not that the Karma system itself is bad.

Upvotes and Downvotes, as it is, serve No purpose.

At least have a tally of upvotes/downvotes for each poster.

I thought it was confusing for people how the comments aren't in chronological order

that somewhat works for reddit because they have so many users if everything was based on the newest you have to filter through ages of trash.

However there are subs that are awful because it creates a lot of group think. It is really easy to mute people you do not agree with.

Show number of views for the thread. If the number of views is high and the response is low, that means it's a bad thread/topic.

Dumb idea is dumb.

The reason this board got so big is because it is free.

Considering this exact scenario by another site back in the day is what made this site popular I'm sure Chicken knows better.

Everyone hates it because it sucks monkey nuts. Reddit is the most poorly designed site I've ever seen.

2. See the identity of up & down votes

frick that noise. Anonymous upvotes and downvotes have made this place much better. It does a good job of providing a barometer of the quality of the post without the voters having to be discussed and using that to derail the thread and deflect.

Besides you only want this because you attract so many downvotes compared to other posters.

1) A clear explanation of what "WYHI" actually means permanently posted somewhere

Just an example- WYHI (Would You Hit It) means "would you have sex with this person if they were standing in front of you". It doesn't mean you have to talk to her, date her, live with her, meet her crazy parents, marry her, etc. Its not a "is this bitch crazy" or "could you see yourself dating this person" thread.

Maybe it was several years ago but the traffic on this site is way too big for just a few boards.

The OT couldn't handle all the all the traffic and it would be begging to open those boards back up because threads would be getting bumped off the first page if no reply in five minutes.
