Circular saws are usually a tool worth buying a better brand. The Ryobi corded miter saw has actually been a good tool for me and I've gotten a good bit of use out of it.
The best circular saw I have ever owned is a Rigid I bought at a pawn shop. It is heavy and well built. It had barely been used and I got it and a fairly new Milwaukee sawsall for $110. Both had their cases/boxes. The pawn shop deals primarily in guns and jewelry, and usually prices tools reasonably.

My crews have dewalt, makita, Milwaukee, matebo etc for the most part. Paslode and bostich for nail guns They stay away from rigid, ryobi, porter cable

Mostly dewalt, but still use my dad's craftsman circ saw, and just ordered a metabo miter saw.
I havent bought drills in 10 years, but I can tell you that back then, my dewalt impact driver ate alive my BIL's Makita. we put together a BBQ area out of rough cut cypress and had to drive some lag bolts that were about 16" long into some of the pieces. His drill would barely get them started, mine hammered them home with ease on the 1.5aH battery

I recently built a lean-to onto a shop building. I had to drive large lag bolts to hang the trusses. The guy had the electric impact driver from Harbor Freight. That thing blew any battery powered impact I have used out of the water, and was really similar to air powered impacts. I went and bought one after that, and use it anytime I need to drive big lag bolts into anything. I was impressed.

I am stacked to the gills with Ryobi tools
They have so many that use the same battery type its insane
Not a single one has gone bad yet in years of both home and work at a small business
Every time Home Depot has a sale you grab another couple of the big batteries

Mostly, I have been going with the new V20 Craftsman for cordless tools. I find they have the widest selection of power and garden tools that fit that platform.
But, that was before I really got mad at China for the beer virus.
Sigh.

Makita is the best
You have likely never used Festool, Mafell or Hilti.
One thing that is missing in this discussion is the type of work tools are designed for. Festool, for example, is designed for precision work where Hilti is designed for rougher work. An excellent example of precision vs rough is a Festool or Mafell track saw and Dewalt and Milwaukee circular saws. The former produce a straight line cut similar to a cabinet saw the latter produces a straight line that is "good enough" for things like framing.
Dewalt, Milwaukee, Rigid, Makita, Bosch et al tend to fall into the prosumer category and are mostly designed for rougher work which is in line with the needs of most weekend warriors. Who has the best generally is who has the most recent released line. Most people that use them around the house and light garage use are fine with Ryobi. Especially with battery-powered tools you are buying a moment in time, what is best today may not be the best next week as it is still a rapidly evolving market.

I have a festool kapex saw as well as the domino joiner. I was answering the question in the context I thought it was asked. I assumed we were talking about tools the average fella has or may buy. I have a full scale cabinet shop. Most OTers dont

Festool makes great woodworking tools. Track saw and domino are both my most accurate tools but both have also been sent to be repaired. They are just as susceptible to failures as the box store stuff in my experience. Sawstop is the only tool I’ve bought that has been seemingly indestructible since the day I got it.
It’s a shame more people can’t get Metabo (not the store bought HPT but the SSR line). They are my favorite impact, drill, and grinder brand.

I feel like once you go with a brand these days you kinda just keep going.
Ryobi the most.
Dewalt next most
Some old 18v Porter Cable because they were a safety prize and they are still going strong
I will keep going with the Ryobi and Dewalts.
Trick is I buy large cap batteries on Ebay for about a 1/2 to 1/3 the brand price and I have never had a bad one yet.
