Milwaukee has 3 factories in MS and one in Wisconsin. But still, a fairly small percentage of their tools are made in the US and they are owned by Techtronic in Hong Kong.

Makita. High torque brushless drill, compact, lighter.

Not a specific brand guy. I buy whoever makes what suits my purpose. Ryobi & Dewalt drill Ridged tables saw, chop saw and sander Wen drill press makita circle saw. I have had good experiences with all of them.

I’ve bought Milwaukee brand for the last several years
I like Milwaukee, but had a one year old caulk gun go out on me in the middle of laying urethane not long ago for a windshield. Damn insides just busted out and cracked, was an easy lay and not giving any back pressure or anything. Pissed me the hell off. I only got about 4-5 minutes once I start laying urethane to set a windshield before it's too late. Had to run and get my backup but I'm still pissed about it.

I really need glasses. At first, I thought this was a subtle, I have paper towels thread.

Bought a Kobalt 3/8 cordless impact with that $100 coupon I got from Lowe's and it has been a damn good one.
Thanks again for whoever started that thread on here when they were giving out those coupons

Makita is what i roll with. Strong, ergonomic, and made to last. Also a ton of the pros use them, so that is how I made my decision. All three of the big boys (DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita) are really good brands. I stay away from DeWalt because they change their batteries to much. Batteries are really what your buying. Find a company that sticks to a battery platform and has the tools you want and run with it that way you will be able to expand your tool collection and know that batteries will be available in the future.

I don’t really have a preferred brand... my stuff is a hodgepodge of brands with some old and some new.
I think with so many of them selling out to different companies, it’s easy for crappy products to ride on the coattails of a formerly good product. I’d rather just look up reviews for the individual tool I need and go from there rather than brandname.

Ryobi for cordless. Corded tools are all over the place.
No complaints.
Only started with them because my dad has them as well and we share tools all the time.

My cordless drill is Ridgid. My electric weed eater is Ryobi but it's old and shitty so when I inevitably replace it I'll find something not Chinese. Electric blower is some cheap Amazon purchase, presumably Chinese, though it's still in good shape.

My brand loyalty went out the window when I realized that most tools are owned by 2 or 3 umbrella companies and are usually manufactured by the lowest bidder.
Outside of commercial grade tools, there's not a whole lot if difference in major brands.

Ridgid's lifetime service agreement sold me on the brand for my drill. They'll replace batteries. I'll probably use them for anything else I can just for that.

I got a huge set of Milwaukee cordless tools when I bought my Tundra years ago. They’re still going strong.

For every good story about there LSA there are at least 2 horror stories.

Dewalt (miter, drill and circular saw) ECHO (chainsaw and PAS system) and Honda (mower and power washer).
