Man, I tell you what, I've been wearing Levi's for so long, I just buy the same jeans every so often.

Edited to add:

I'd be embarrassed to know what brand of jeans I wore.

The number of grown men who don’t buy their own clothes is embarrassing.

I get mine from LL Bean, but I need a 36” inseam
Not easy to find, so I go with what I know
I’m open to suggestions from others on where to find good jeans / pants for tall dudes

Same. They make off sizes too like 33, 35 etc and you can get stretch or regular and they don't have all kinds of shite on the pockets. Just regular jeans.

Levi's 550 Relaxed Fit. I've tried other brands and other Levi's styles and I keep coming back to this.

Can you recommend a pair that go well with both tennis shoes and cowboy boots? I don’t need skin tight or need to show off my arse.

Thanks for the write up, I think I'm going to order a pair since they have a good return policy.

Levi's 501 but buy them from Levi's online, not Dillard's, Belk or the outlet. The quality difference is noticable especially in the weight of the denim. Get the Made and Crafted or vintage if you can afford it. Also, brave star makes some nice cone mills and Japanese selvedge for a good price if you can afford it.Sugar Cane 1947 or similar Momotaro jeans if you have the coin.
