From my northern suburban Atlanta HS:

Then (early-mid 2000s):
White: 81%
Asian: 11%
Hispanic: 2%
Black: 3%
Other: 2%

Now:
White: 61%
Asian: 22%
Hispanic: 8%
Black: 5%
Other: 4%

1970 consolidated all girls, all boys and all black Catholic high schools, zero problems. 75% white, 25% black. Today the same ratio.

In 1970 one classmate ended up being gay. In 1971 several new students, not Catholic, who didn't want to be redistricted to majority black public schools so ended up with 3 more who ended up being gay out of 130 in my grade.

Basically the same. A few more African Americans, mainly QB RB and defense but mostly white with about a 10% rise in Asians.

There are only 15-22 students in each class where I went to h.s.

1 or 2 black students, 1 or 2 Mexican students -- but no one gave a shite. We were all friends and we all would hang out together.

Chalmette

Probably 90% white in the early 00s

Now less than 50% but it’s a bigger school now so there’s more white students than when I went

Black percentage went up from about 5% to 29%

We only had about 15-20 black students when I went in early 2000s, Katrina changed the parish big time

The freshman class was also 3x our size because of some district maps redrawn after Clay Chalkville was created.

Both my brothers got moved to clay chalkville. I got to stay because I was a senior.
