fuel, batteries, rechargeable lantern (usb), water, battery bank for phones, bread, extension cords, generator, window ac unit, and making sure everything is picked up outside.

generator can keep the refrigerator cool and i have a gas stove/cooktop, so making a fresh hot meal shouldn't be an issue if gas line remains uninterrupted.

You could have stopped there.

I'll probably grab some gas just in case.

My biggest decision right now is how much gas i should get. I probably need to get a couple of extra red cans for sure, but just trying to decide how many.

better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. you can always find a use for gas after storm passes, plus i am sure we will face something similiar again this hurricane season.

Agreed, just trying to come up with an exact number of red cans to add to my arsenal.

Clearly, and quite obviously, the O-T answer is 3.5...

Fill the propane bottles, fill the cars with gas, 5-10 gallons in red jugs. Eggs, pasta, bread. Fill the coolers with ice. Freeze half a dozen 2 liter bottles of water.
