Fauci also laughed when asked if people should be wearing masks... They are a Farce unless you are a doctor treating a patient.

I have a few who are very concerned

They’re having to work double time at different locations to help as needed

I hear it’s affecting the younger group (25-40)more than The earlier phase which hit the old folks.

And as for masks, they’re more to keep you from spreading YOUR germs to others

My neighbors are two doctors. One is the director of a hospital here in our city. Both wear masks, even when hobby gardening.

So masks limit the amount of droplets that would come out but don’t limit the amount going in?

I can't say for certain, but I'm fairly certain that this is not possible.

My buddy saying they're having lots of success using steroids and remdesivir.

Also saying that putting old people on vents is basically a death sentence and they aren't doing it anymore.

Are you talking about the interview from early March?

On what planet is it a bad thing that intelligent people change their minds and opinions about things after gathering new information? Oh, right, this one. This stupid fricking planet.

Just a 10% reduction in transmissions is more than enough to drop the reproductive rate from above 1.0 (where cases grow exponentially) to below 1.0 (where cases are reduced with each "generation") in almost every state.

Multiple doctor friends are saying that the complications of injuries, diseases, conditions other than covid will be bad in the coming months because doctors can’t treat outside of covid. Hospitals should convert a wing or floor to covid, and then allow the other parts of hospitals to open as normal.

The doctors in front of the Capitol in DC yesterday and today sum up what friends are saying. You owe yourself all or a portion of the 45 minute video.

I know someone who is a higher up at a large hospital in Nola and she told me that they are 100% fudging numbers to get the federal grant money. The virus itself isn’t a hoax, but the overboard fear mongering is.

FYI the biggest star of that video promoting HCQ as a perfect treatment also believes that cysts are caused by sex with demons and that some of the medicines we use contain alien DNA.

You can watch it if you want, but keep those mountains of salt in mind.

We have several friends who have treated Covid patients. The general consensus is that unless you you are very old with preexisting conditions or generally ill, your likelihood of surviving is overwhelmingly positive. None believe we should be locked down in any way.

IF you have a strong right belief system, it shouldn't be a shock that your doctor friends will have similar opinions than you.

People on the left similarly have doctor friends, and low and behold, their Dr friends think the exact opposite of the right's Dr friends.

The one thing that IS effective about a mask, however, is that it prevents you from touching your mouth/nasal area inadvertently.

My doctor is politically conservative. He also works ER shifts once a week. He said it is legit despite conservatives

From Fauci himself... before politics came into play from the LEFT.

quote:

There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask. When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences — people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.

Can’t dispute that she’s treat 350 plus patients with covid and not a single death, all having the normal morbidity factors that tend to lead to death: HTN, diabetes, obesity, old age.

And, it wasn’t just her. Same guy who originally posted about hydrochloroquine was on there too: James Todaro. Google restricted his google doc from March. Tells me he was onto something if google blocked it.

Ha ha, I'm most definitely not a troll. I'm a long time lurker who finally decided to chime in. I became hooked on the OT when the Dallas police shootout was happening. Y'all were breaking the story in real time, and Fox was delayed by several minutes, if not more. I even learned about the rona on here, back in January.

Many thanks to all for your honest and relevant comments! I suppose I even appreciate the rude, hairy cave men for the entertainment.

FTFY

That interview is from early March, when there were about 1,000 total confirmed cases in the US. That is quite a different scenario than the now millions of cases.

At the time, it was MUCH more important to prevent a mask shortage for HCWs. Now the focus is on reducing the reproductive rate the few percentage points necessary to flip exponential growth into a reduction of cases.

Are you saying that we can't dispute anything she says, for which she hasn't provided one bit of evidence? Do you also believe her when she says that sex with demons causes cysts?

Are you talking about this Google doc, which is still hosted by Google and still linked to on his Twitter and which still appears in Google search results? Is that the "blocked" doc you are referring to?

And by the way, that guy doesn't even practice medicine anymore. He trades cryptocurrency these days. And when he did practice medicine, he was an ophthalmologist.

Well, I do enjoy an echo chamber with a healthy side of confirmation bias. Why on earth do you think I'm here?

To be fair, the point of my post was that there is no need to politicize an illness. I'm just looking for what others have learned from their personal experiences conversing with those in the medical profession.
