yard work

Grass, pressure washing, and when the time comes I'll pay someone to move me too.

I'll pay someone to come clean my place once a quarter or so. I keep my place tidy, but they'll come clean the blinds, dust everything good, etc for like $35 so it's worth it a couple times a year.
Mine comes every 2 weeks and deep cleans the whole place for $80. It's so nice to come home and the whole house is basically brand new. Having 2 dogs that shed is a pain.

As a young buck I was stubborn and said I would never pay anyone anything if I was physically capable of doing it myself. Now I am trying to get to the point where I outsource 100% of my chores, projects etc. can’t put a price on time and how it’s spent
i try to explain this to my gf who is thrifty and i don't think it's set in
it is different with me owning my own business and her job being normal employment, i guess. that 9-5 mentality really creates boundaries on how you see time.
i do waste time learning stuff that i eventually contract out, like SEO and google adwords currently. i like to know how stuff works to have a much better idea of whether or not i'm getting ripped off
we are currently helping my mom by fixing up her house and holy shite frick all this. knowing a little DIY around the house is good but painting and tiling and shite? frick. that.

From this I conclude the following:
1) You live in central Africa where you can in fact buy this for $35.
2) You are frick broke if $35 twice a year is a splurge expense.

Just sod prep and laying. I did 10 pallets by myself at my olde house and it is sucked. Just had 15 pallets done at my current house and paid the man to do it.

yard work
That is what I have a wife for. It's going to take her 3 hours today just to cut the grass.

Mowing. for $30 bucks/week my guy mows, trims, edges, and blows grass & debris off property. Makes those nice crossed lines in the lawn. If I had to buy the equipment they use would cost 3k easy and i'd have to store and maintain it, frick all that shite in my garage.

Who do you use for $35 for all of that...??

sweep, mop, vaccumm, clean blinds and countertops, dust furniture, etc. How much do you think it should be? Usually that would be $50-60

Moving.
Mowing/yardwork in general.
Washing the car.
Gathering my groceries (H-E-B Curbside ftw).

1 or 2 bedroom?
Mines $80 every other week for a 2 bed 2.5 bath townhouse.

I got movers to help the last time I moved. I tweaked my knee a few days prior, so I wasn't at full strength. Also, it was just me and my wife and most of our friends didn't live in the area, so we needed the help. They were fantastic. Two guys and didn't take that long. Probably going to do it again even if I am healthy.
This is a little off topic, but one thing I hated paying for but miss now is trash pick up. The majority of the apartment complexes I lived in had trash pick up for $10-15 a month. You don't realize how much of a convenience it is until you don't have it.

That is my point, that is very cheap, which is why I want to know who you use so I can hire them ha.

Yeah I'm about at that point myself--fricking house maintenance is just time consuming
Posted on 5/21/18 at 8:40 am to athenslife101
Changing my oil. Five minutes in and out and I pay a few extra dollars for the convenience.
