You can't take it with you.

Spend it before you go?
Leave it to your heirs?
Donate it to charity?

Or a combination of these?

Or other?

Discuss.

Give half to you. What’s your address, SS# and mother’s maiden name for verification?

That is really none of your business, and it is uncouth to even request such an inquiry.

Depends on what you mean by the question. If you mean literally once I'm dead, then all to the wife/heirs. I think it's bullshite when people wait until they have no use for the money to give it the charity. Do that shite while you're still alive.

If you mean it more generally, a chunk will go to charities I like while I'm still alive. The rest, as above.

Spend most of it. Put some in college savings accounts for grand kids.
Leave balance to kids.

Trick question - I won’t have to worry about that because I’ll die broke.

A lot of people do. It is just the final act of caring, respect and remembrance to the charity to leave them something from your estate.

I am single with zero dependents. If I die tomorrow, my investments will go into a academic foundation for the University of Saint Thomas in Houston.
