Just got back from looking at some. I know everything is negotiable, but anyone have experience getting them to come off the quoted price?

Lumber. Someone at my company is always ducking up lumber orders. I've decked the attic space above my garage and built about 300 lf of fence in the last year. All for free.

Never is a strong word, but clothes. I visit the second store or the clearance section for 90 percent of my clothes and shoes.

Clothes is the biggest one. I can't remember the last time I bought clothes, other that socks and underwear, that weren't either on clearance or on a really good sale.

Most people can't wait to order car parts online. I'm lucky to have 3 vehicles so if one needs to sit for a week, so be it

do you haggle about the prices at the grocery store

No need to haggle. Combining coupons with sales and store promotions saves me about 50 percent on the grocery bill most weeks.

This.

I’m always amazed at the deals I can get for used mattresses at police auctions.

I’m weird about clothing and that is something I have to use every day. We’re business casual most days and pretty much all of my pants and shirts are from J Crew the I’ve ordered on clearance. Their slim fit pants haven’t changed a bit in the last 3 years or so. I get the emails for 70% off clearance items, check to see if they have my size in stock, and if so order a pair. They end up being under $20 and the regular price is close to $70. No casual pants are worth that.

But then I’ll go to the grocery store and drop $250-300 most weeks to feed the family. Or pay $15-20 for lunch if I order takeout. And that’s something I’m just going to crap out in less than 24 hours, not a pair of pants I’ll get years of use out of.
