I know suit separates are rags for proles, but are there any out there that are actually of good quality? What are the best ones out there you’ve found?

Bonobos have great fits and many options

J Crew aren't bad for separates either

Best choice IMO.

J Crew and Bonobos are viable options too.

Haven't had to wear a suit daily in years but when I did, I got them from JC Penney. They were good enough for Ross Perot who could afford to buy suits anywhere.

I've had good luck at Nordstrom Rack. Inventory is hit or miss at the brick & mortar store though, so I sometimes order online.

Check out Spier and Mackay.

I've only gotten dress trousers so far as I never wear a coat for work. But pretty good pricing, lots of options, and seems to be quality stuff. Way better than you're going to get at most chain stores.

If you know how to take your measurements, they'll do made-to-order, semi-custom stuff for reasonable pricing from what I can tell. Admittedly never ordered that.

Charles Tyrwhitt is where I’ve been getting my shirts and suits for work.

How are their suits? They're my go-to for everyday dress shirts.

I’ve not had mine long, but I like the fit so far. I also like their merino sweaters and long sleeve polos.

Chino pants are a little too tight for my liking, but the suit pants fit well

Check out alain dupetit. A former manager of mine turned me on to these. I have 3 of their suits. I don’t wear the jackets often but I do wear the slacks very often and have done so for about two years. The quality is great and for me the fit is great. To top it off I machine wash the slacks and have had zero problems. If memory serves correct I got each suit for around $70.

Agreed

I like Suit Supply suits more than many more expensive suits out there.

Mentioned before me but SuitSupply is the best bang for your buck I have found.

You can get a 500 dollar suit that you would think is a 1000 dollar suit.

10 years ago I’d have told you an off rack Dillards suit would last you 5 years easy with proper care.

I went not long ago and they carry this trash Max something. Those threads will wear out in about 6-8 months.
