That is my thought. Put a hateful dog in the house regularly.

Ha, I didn't even consider just capturing wild raccoons or geese and giving squatters additional roommates

Why the Greatest Generation and Baby Boomers are Miles above this Young Generation

Squatters got their asses handed to them, furniture thrown away.
Police came beat their asses, put them in jail.

It was a great country before the boomers spent years huffing paint and passing around STDs and had the great idea to enact squatter's rights and other impossibly stupid policies over the last 40 years.

The fact that a squatter can have any rights is preposterous

“Squatters rights” really grew out of the proliferation of slumlords and extortionist landlords. It’s still bullshite though.

I don't know the laws, but I remember one of the condo owners where I used to live didn't evict a lady and her daughter until she owed for three months. Her electricity had been cut off for two months. It was right before Christmas and very cold. I assumed she, and her daughter were building fires in the fireplace and sleeping in their living room.

She wasn't at home when the sheriff's deputy, and the owner knocked and went into the condo. I saw them, he told me what was going on, and I picked at him for doing it Christmas week. That's when he told me how long she'd gone without paying, and about the electricity.

How can you illegally evict someone who is illegally living in your house?

Not being able to get rid of squatters is messed up. They have NO RIGHT to be there.

Because even squatters have due process rights. Sheriff's office is the only legal entity empowered to forcibly evict anyone. Also a great way to get sued trying to do it on your own.

This is why you should always be on good terms with a few unsavory individuals. Never know when they can help you out.

I know a guy who got sued and lost a bunch of money because he illegally evicted someone.

I saw a hearing turn into a settlement discussion a few months back for some people who evicted a tennant during Covid. I think the settlement was like $200k

Impossible to illegally evict someone who is illegally occupying a building.

This is wrong. Nobody follow this advice.

Unless you're not using the words of OP. Illegally evicting someone, as he was discussing, is not using the courts/police to properly evict a tenant. If you don't do this process correctly, and just forcibly remove a squatter and/or its property, that's illegal and you can get in civil and criminal trouble.

So, they have enough money to sue you, but not enough money to pay their rent? I'd risk it

There are armies of lawyers who take cases like these pro bono.

So they can sue you if you try to force them out

But you can’t sue them for trespassing or not paying rent? Why do their “rights” trump that of property owners or landlords?

Seems like it should be like football, Offsetting penalties

as log as they dont know the guy giving out the beating is the land lord you are ok wear masks and beat them senseless take all the doors off AC power plumbing.

if you do go to court deny everything like the clintons.

this is why any good landlord has muscle to do the work for them, no snitching and dont get arrested.
