I started working for a bank a while back. It amazes me how many people fall for scams.

That your phone is slow because it's old, not because the "updates" slow your phone down forcing you to buy a newer one.

Workout supplements are only a scam to people who can't take the time to research anything on their own. I don't feel bad about those people getting ripped off because if people will buy it then I'm for people selling it.

HDMI cables is a big one, it's amazing how many people don't understand that's it's a fricking cable. It either will connect to the picture or won't, paying $100 for your monster cable that guarantees picture perfect HD cracks me up. It's like paying quadruple for an Ethernet cord that guarantees faster speeds

It "costed" $6,000+ to put a cheap arse splint made of 1/2 inch of metal and some foam on my 3 year old son's thumb a month ago.

Did you pay 6k? Did the insurance? Probably not even close. I don't know why they bill it like that, but my "$52,000" surgery ended up getting about $5200 from my insurance company and me combined.

Religion (obviously)

That Republicans govern to benefit or care about the working class.

And one I didn't see mentioned:

The Medical Industry

No disclosure of pricing.
They perform the procedure or the service and then they tell you what it's going to cost. What other industry gets away with that? NONE

If they tell you the cost, much of the time they bill you a higher amount anyway.
They tell you upfront they will accept your insurance but then they will bill you for the difference in their inflated charges that the insurance company doesn't pay under their contract terms that the medical provider agreed to.
They do this knowing that it's unethical and not collectible but they also know that over 50% of patients will pay it if you send them the bill.

They restrict access to their profession unnecessarily so that they can maintain a quasi-monopoly for their services.

Etc., etc. It's basically a legal license to steal and none of our politicians can or will stand up to them. Certainly not Paul Ryan. Hell, he's one of them.

Go on...how is it not collectible? I'm trying to figure out how I owe so much after insurance for my children's birth.

Lol. The month that I graduated college, my salary increased 400% plus benefits. Since that time, my salary has increased 1300% from pre-college levels. It was the biggest investment of my life.

Global Warming--Trillions have been spent on pet projects with companies that no longer exist. Al Gore is a billionaire because 12 years ago he predicted in 10 years no more ice caps, and much of the USA would be underwater. Neither prediction became true yet people and governments will still spend $ on a scam.
