That’s it. Another girl died in accident in the same manner prior to that one. The guardrail came down after families sued the parish. There was a memorial there for many years but I think it’s gone now.

Bad wreck when the road rage guy wrecked and they crossed median on I-10 between Highland and LA 73 exit in Ascension
It's why they installed those barriers on the interstation.

More recent - That college kid that flipped his car off LA 30 going towards Ascension by LSU FETI, he was missing, then they found the car hidden in that ditch.

A middle aged lady was biking on Goodwood Blvd in the bike lane and a car hit her, she didn't die but her kids went to my school and it was sad.

There was a minivan that was fully loaded, went off the road somewhere in the Troop L area. Everyone died except like the 3 he old. Took out like three generations of that family.

Yeah, there are a few neighborhoods around there now. It was just a field back then.

There was a very famous motorcycle crash near the Melville levee in 1969. Couple of hippies on choppers. I think they made a movie about it.

My senior year of high school, we were all at a party down hoo shoo too road. I drove one of my friends home and my buddy had another girl drive his car home because he was sick, while her friend followed in her car to pick her up. I got home and my buddy and the other girl got home but her friend never showed up. A few hours went my buddy went out looking for her and found her car wrapped around a tree. She wasn’t drinking. It was just a freak accident in the dark part of tigerbend near Eliot and hooshootoi. That was one of the worst phone calls I’ve ever gotten. She was the nicest person I’d ever met. Labor Day weekend will make 11 years.

RIP AM
girl from EHS?... I remember that one... firemen i know where pretty shaken up by that one.

College roommate flew home the Houston. His wife and three little kids pick them up at the airport. On the way home, their car was rear-ended by a drunken truck driver. The wife survive with no injuries, but got to watch her husband and three children burn up in the wreck. There is nothing the firefighters could do because thekids and father were all trapped in the wreckage. Her husband kept telling the firefighters to ignore him and try to get the children out. He was also able to say some prayers with his wife before he passed.

A few years later, his twin brother's ex-wife was flying with their kids when the private plane crashed, killing all on board

The wreck in 1991 on Greenwell Springs road with the 5 guys in the back of a truck. They had gotten in a fight earlier at the Comite river beach and we're chasing the guy afterwards and wrecked and hit a tree in front of the Circle K in front of Bellingrath Hill. It killed 5 or so.

I personally knew the guy being chased and one of the guys that died in the truck. It was supposedly a very horrific scene and I remember seeing the tree in front of that Cirlce K for years afterwards.

Yup. We only graduated with 88. Our whole grade took it pretty rough.

The one I was referring to on Joor was a car. They passed my dad up at like 80 mph in those curves by where the softball fields are now. He came around the curve and they had lost control, hit the trees and flipped upside down.

He got out to help. Either 2 or 3 of the 4 died. It was 2 guys and 2 girls. The driver was decapitated, I believe. I think his bac was like 3-4 times the limit. They were all HS kids.

I remember a DUI that killed damn near an entire family up around Clinton. Driver had multiple DUIS

Killed almost everyone in the van he hit. Poor souls were coming back from church services. Think it was on Plank?

Also remember 4 VCHS kids all dying when the car they were in ran off US90 outside of Houma. They were all coming home from an LSU game. Driver fell asleep and the car ran off the road, flipped and they all supposedly drowned right across from the old Hebert's Junk Yard.

they found the car late Sunday afternoon after searching for the kids all day.
fricking awful.

Me and SupaDave know the family of the driver. I knew him personally a little bit through his older sister. He's in Angola.

I pass the scene of that accident every time I drive to work. It’s at the big power line on Plank Rd just north of 412.

Last year a woman was killed in a fiery crash in Baton Rouge. Apparently the driver intentionally caused the wreck

I have a picture of it. My friend passed it on his way home and texted it to me because he knew I was a few minutes behind him and was traveling the same way.

I knew from the picture there would be no survivors.
