Craftsman tools.
Indeed. The older versions were made by Emerson Electric (same company that makes Ridgid Tools and others). They were pretty good at the balancing quality vs. cost. Sears shifted to some other manufacturer and it is noticeably worse.

Ripped fuel. Man that stuff they sold about 15 years ago was some good shite.
Any chance that different results have something to do with you being 15 years older now?

No. I did not use for weight lose. The FDA banned ephedra. Something about people dying or something.

There's no need for a computer circuit board to run an agitator/spinner motor device and a simple water pump. What they've done to those devices (which would easily last 20-30 years without a hitch) is abominable.

Buy Speed Queen washer and dryer. Commercial, no bells or whistles, larger capacity, last much longer than any other and much less expensive.

Mitchum deodorant. They changed formulas a few years ago and the new stuff SUCKS! It was my favorite for years because it was unscented, but the new stuff separated into gel and liquid, and when you put it on, the liquid would run down the side of your body. It would dry out and turn into little white crystals that would rub off and get all over the place. It was a huge pain in the arse to use and made a big mess.

It's a waste of money now. Complete garbage.

I bought a Panasonic plasma smart tv in 2013 and to this day it's better than any tv, imo.

Best TV out there.

Plasma will make a comeback with 4k.

You can't buy a good water hose these days. My "never kink" kinked in less than 2 years. Also the new gas cans suck

Buy contractor hoses from lowes.

Buy metal gas cans online.

Both are under 35 bucks and will last YEARS.

That would be something, because that's exactly why Panasonic abandoned plasma technology. They couldn't figure out an economical way to do 4K, and then there's the power usage.

OLED is the future. Plasma ain't coming back.

Craftsman's hand tools were made by Easco, who were bought out by Danaher, who shipped everything overseas.

Power tools were at one time Emerson, now they're mostly made by Ryobi's parent company.

Kobalt and Husky are in about the same boat nowadays.

There's so many good answers in this thread and "cars" is not even close to being one. If someone made a spinoff thread of things that have improved the most cars would probably be the first thing that came to mind.

Pyrex

quote:

Pyrex bowls were originally made of something called borosilicate glass, which is very resistant to thermal shock. Currently, Pyrex is made of soda-lime glass, presumably as a cost-cutting measure, as soda-lime glass is very inexpensive. Also, Pyrex is no longer made by the original manufacturer, and is essentially a brand name, rather than a material.
