Famous Amos bannana cream pies. Those things were awesome. My grandmother always kept a box in the cabinet next to the fridge.

Homegrown 'mater sammiches, cornbread and buttermilk, Taylor's Pride, and a hot toddy if you faked a cough in wintertime.

Homemade sugar cookies.
Homemade cream puffs.
Grandma had a huge strawberry patch in her backyard so we had all the freshly picked strawberries we could stand.

Only had one grandmother, all wer gone before that... she would take me to McDonald’s for happy meal and ice cream and I could ride in the back of her Chevy chevelle.... think she is 95 recently and still in very good health. She has had to bury 2 of her children including my mom, can’t imagine her pain since I have so much

- Grandma always had a half chocolate half vanilla pound cake in a cake keeper on the dining room table

- Hard Christmas candies year round (Grandpa loved them)

- Fig tarts (fried pies) with her canned figs

- Cold peeled figs when the figs were ripe

- Cushaw gourd pie (better than any pumpkin pie I've ever
had)
