Moby Dick

Catch-22

Myth of Sisyphus

Brothers Karamazov

Ulysses

Crying of Lot 49

Battle Cry of Freedom

Rabbit Run

The Shining

I think Catcher in the Rye is overrated.

Not at all, but A Separate Peace by John Knowles is a better novel.

All Quiet on the Western Front
A Farewell to Arms
The Old Man and the Sea
Anne Frank's Diary
Huckleberry Finn
The Sound and the Fury
Love in the Ruins
The Quiet American
1984
Great Expectations
Storm of Swords

Everything by Steinbeck and Cormack McCarthy. Also, as much Joseph Heller and Kurt Vonnegut as you can get. Throw in some Foster Wallace and Anthony Burgess and you've got yourself a great modern literature feast.

Eta... Forgot Palahniuk.

Aww.

My degree is in English (concentration was Literature). So. Not much "classic" lit I haven't read.

I love HoD. And subsequently, Apocalypse Now.

I suppose you will need to tell us about that one...
The Old Man and The Sea,was good.

If you wanted to write a book about me,comparing me to what I was, when I was a boy..that would be a book that spanned incredible changes, with real factual violence and unsolved mystery written in.

and me having to find out that My Dad is dead, from the nurses at the emergency room. It's great drama,if you want to see all of my tears and snot flying, before they shoot me up.

sorry if I misread things,or misunderstood intentions.
