The violence of rioting does a disservice to the deceased. These are opportunists, not protesters.

The looters absolutely are. I spent most of yesterday and last night watching live feeds from the scene. It was easy for me to see there were legitimate protesters and opportunistic looters. There were several legitimate protesters calling out the looters and admonishing them.

The event that sparked the protests hasn't changed, so if your calls for justice have diminished because of the actions of the looters, then I question the genuineness of that concern to begin with.

I think your question would be best asked of the people who live, work and own small businesses in Minneapolis. My opinion is of no value to those individuals and today they’re are the only people who matter.

Acceptable would be to get the lawmakers to first do away with immunity of the police force. Next would be to make training mandatory in civilians rights. The problem isn't police vs blacks. It's that blacks are the only ones who get publicity over it.

Plenty of whites are gunned down and have their rights violated but there isn't a peep from anyone then. I think it's racist AF to only care about your own race in the first place. The only thing that gets news is white on black violence which is a pretty rare occurrence. You never see whites marching when a white boy gets beat up in the hood or dies at the hands of a black cop. Or even black on black violence rarely gets anything more than a head shake at the amount of lives lost.

It's wrong for anyone to violate civil rights or murder another person, regardless of their race. So maybe if your side would join and push to actually make police power decrease, instead of giving them reasons for increasing their power... it would be a step in the right direction.
