I don’t drink anymore, but when I did, it was only beer. If I started, I wouldn’t really stop until I went to bed.

I didn’t drink every night or week, but when I did, it was in excess.

If I was just going to have a few while playing golf during the day, I wouldn’t stop after the round. I’d stop at the bar, or crush beers at home until I passed out.

If I bought a 6 pack, I’d drink all 6. 12 pack, I’d drink all 12 regardless if I just wanted to have 2-3.

Finally I got tired of the hangovers and knew my habits too good if I started, and just quit all together.

So are/were you a daily drinker, occasional binge drinker, or someone that can have just 2-3 and go on about their day just fine?

I have a bourbon and coke every other night. Three shots of bourbon with 12 oz. of Caffeine Free Coke Zero. Every once in a blue moon if I don’t have to get up the next morning, I’ll have two.

All about keeping it in control. I do two generous pours of bourbon every night. On the weekends I may mix in a few domestic brews.

Drink alcohol once every 1-2 months for some type of event. Birthday, wedding, engagement, graduation, etc.

Not your typical down a 12 pack on friday nigh for the hell of it baw. I’m not a fan of the beer gut look

Beer is for fat people. If you're going to be addicted to alcohol, do your body a favor & drink vodka or gin.

The irony is- the people who can have 2 or 3 beers and be "fine" never stop at 2 or 3 beers.

Run, exersice, golf, Netflix....etc. Sucked and was bored to death at first, but after a few weeks, never noticed.

Have less friends, but they weren’t really ‘friends’...more less just drinking buddies.

Daily drinker of 10-15 beers a day with a couple binges mixed in monthly.

I drink probably 90% beer and mix in occasional hard liquor or wine if I'm feeling adventurous.

I’m the exact same as you. I can stay away but if I’m drinking I’m all in. I don’t drink nearly as much anymore because it takes me longer to recover. Not worth it anymore.

i went 32 years without drinking a drop. Just never did, i guess because everyone else did it. Was an an awards banquet and another guy who was there for it handed me a whiskey and coke and said "congrats on your award." I sipped it and loved it. It scared me how much i loved it. Now i see why people can become an alcoholic. I didn't get drunk obviously, but i definitely felt like it mellowed me out a bit. I don't drink at home, but if the wife and i go out on a date night or a couple night getaway, i typically always have a drink or two.

Quote from my doctor:

I could also suggest maybe a couple less drinks a week, but let's be honest you probably know that.
