Last year when I turned 80.

Hangovers got noticeably worse at 28.
Energy levels lower at 32.
People commenting on my gray hairs at 34.

Mine was like flipping a switch when I turned 40. The youngest kid started counting the grey/white hairs in my beard. 4 years later she says she can count the brown ones.

The second I turned 30, hangovers started feeling totally different and lasting all day. A switch flipped that birthday

Late. 40’s for me. I’m 56 and still quite active and refuse to quit. Losing weight would be a tremendous benefit. I actually think that most ailments would go away if I dropped 30 lb’s.
I have to starve myself to death to lose weight. Salads and oatmeal seem to work best.

Not a whole lot. Just happened.

I am a wee bit older.
Earlier this year, I twisted to stretch out a rake one-handed to reach under a bush to catch a few stray leaves, and torqued my back. It felt like I got knifed. I could barely walk for 2 days, and my back hurt for about 5.
And I try hard to stay in shape, but I am barely holding pat.

My wife went blind in what seemed like an instant. I'm still hanging on glasses free at 44
I went from 20/20 to damn near dog and cane in my mid 40s in what seemed like about 6 months. I went from bigger monitor to reading glasses to no line bifocals

Mid fifties, and it’s much worse in the winter.

Yep. She started with readers and then prescription glasses. Lately her new complaint is that our TV isn't big enough.

Aging has been much more about recovery time for me.
I was going to say this as well. At 47 I can still do everything I’ve always done (work wise construction and in the gym) it’s just takes soooo much longer to recover after a extra ordinary day where I push outside my normal routine.
PS old man strength is a thing.

All down hill from 29

I remember specifically in my late 30s. Was fishing and jumped down to a dock that was a few feet down from the levee.
Wood was wet and feet went out from under me. Full on cartoon fall. Remember thinking after I hit the ground that falls like that are different at 38 than 18. I imagine that gets progressively worse with each decade.

I only notice my age when I look in the mirror. I’m still in pretty good shape for 46.

I had so many injuries playing football , soccer, and ruby until I was 29 yrs old that I was always injured and having surgery. Now I'm 39 and just workout daily. Feel stronger and healthier than ever. It's all a mindset. If you are mentally use to feeling aches and pains and powering through it then it's not an age thing...as much as a mental acceptance thing. Stay mentally strong and stay active.

Kudos to you sir! Yes, just keep moving. I hiked a Grand Canyon Rim To Rim last June at 68. I made it and only my knees hurt for about a month due to jolting the knees heading down the canyon and then the strain heading up. There is hope for us old guys!
