Our clients have in our contracts that all work must be performed in the USA due to data security reasons.

So...about not knowing shite

Once called a cable co for tech support. After he resolved my problem I heard a rooster ( not TD's Chicken) crow near him. He was near Manila. I asked if that was a fighting bird. He answered that it was.
He told me that he made more money with his chickens then he did as tech support.

It was an interesting conversation.

Their way of trying to justify one vs the other dickhead obviously it’s cheaper is the real reason. But if you can’t ready well enough to understand the actual question then you probably never will anyway.

In IT there are no savings, because that 80% savings is taking about twice as many people back here to fix the mess that they made.

I'm an SAP Solution Architect, work from home in the US. Not a contractor/consultant but directly employed. The Indian ABAP team I have to work with are absolutely brilliant developers.

Think about it for a minute. Just because a position is worked remotely that does not mean that it isn’t client facing. Do you really think that organizations want Indians in client facing positions?

The obvious answer is that they would probably let you stay home if you were willing to work for the same price as the Indians.

Even more obvious, if the cost of living was the same, people would probably work for the same price as the Indians.

the difference of WFH vs WFI?

1) They arent getting free child care
b) They arent running to the gym or errands or lawn care or cooking
iii) They arent taking their laptop on vacation to 'work'
IV) They arent running a 2nd business, while 'working' their full-time job

What I've yet to figure out is why the past 3 companies I have worked for have paid for people in India to work for us, knowing full well I have to go behind them to correct their work. Baffles me.

But I also get to WFH so whatever. Their wasted money.

Yep, we use developers from there. 1/4 to 1/3 is about right.

Worst boss I ever had was Indian. Even other Indians didn't like him because he was a domineering, arrogant pos that was perfectly described in the linked article.
If you are in engineering and potentially could work for one of these curry eating sob's do yourself a favor and look for another job.

I worked for a larger contractor that was foreign owned. We had a problem on a job and they said they had an independent engineering firm that could create a fix for the problem. It was Indians and they paid them pennies on the dollar to what it would have cost an American firm to design it. And you guessed it they had to have it redesigned at the end of the day.

I live in an area that has a lot of Indians. Frick them smelly no driving sob’s.

That is not true. At least for the team I deal with now. They’re working from home
