But I believe Miskelley had at least some knowledge about it and was coached into implicating Echols and Baldwin.
that's very plausible. i'm no expert on the matter i was just swinging in to post about false confessions
he's effectively mentally retarded and obviously seeks approval so i can easily see him being manipulated into implicating Echols/Baldwin

Always felt bad for that Jason Baldwin kid, bet he had it bad in the pen.

DNA evidence
The Miskelley T-shirt is as much of a red herring as the Byers pocket knife.
But the pocket knife fit the people making the documentary narrative so it got slipped in.

People miss the point entirely. This wasn't a who-done-it. Rather, this is a textbook example of how to do shoddy police work and an indictment on our criminal justice system.

Again I don’t really know. West Memphis is a super sketchy place. Especially around the trailer parks where Echols and Baldwin lived.
Terry Hobbs was definitely bi-sexual. The younger daughter made accusations he molested her.
His ex-wife firmly believe he did it. I’m inclined to agree.
It really is a fascinating case and a look into a world that is polar opposite of mine.

Absolutely.
I also think it was a crime of opportunity. If the semen found was preserved, we'd probably here about some 70 year old guy in Oregon or California that matched in the family DNA like Parabon.

I agree with you there. The West Memphis PD did everything a police department shouldn’t do during an investigation.
They locked on Echols early and worked backwards to convict him.

Mark Byers missed his calling as a profashinul rassler. The promo he cut on satan and the killers In Paradise Lost 1 was epic.

Too many balls dropped too many times to ever convict.
Hobbs
Jacoby
The "black guy in Mr. Bojangles"
A buddy of Misskelley?
One of the most supremely inept police and courtroom work of all time. Too many people stepped on each others' dicks for the entire "feel good ending" with an Alford Plea to truly give us all peace.

He certainly did everything in the world to appear guilty.
His wife died unexpectedly in her sleep. I don’t think a true cause of death was ever determined.
Around the time the police were re-examining some bite mark evidence, he had all of his teeth pulled. — but it was later revealed he had them pulled to get dentures.
He has probably been arrested a dozen times since the WM-3 murders.

At anytime did they ever consider asking the state to take over the investigation?

Byers was certainly the one made to look guilty in part 2. Part 3, he became the main cheerleader for Echols.
I do not think it was Byers even though he is a drug addict and his wife sort of just dropped dead. Hobbs just seems to fit the narrative better. But I truly believe whoever was washing blood off in that truck stop Bojangles was the killer.

I don’t think so.
And as inept as the police were, the judge was every bit inept.
Everything about the case was handled wrong.

Oh ok. There is damn near as much information out there that suggest they did do it. But far be it from me to question a Vandy man.

I'm leaning towards maybe 100 degrees vs 180. But I don't judge.

And a textbook example of judicial misconduct. David Burnett should have been thrown out on his arse.

Lol. No. But a couple years ago I took a wrong turn in West Memphis and wound up in the trailer park then went down the long rabbit hole of checking out the case.

I had to pick up something in West Memphis once for a truck dealership I used to work for. Man it's a depressing arse looking place.
