Also, having lived here during summer you should be able to smell the bs coming off the op.

It's the degree of social interaction that is in question. Not everyone has the same needs or desires socially.
Im just playing devils advocate here. I abhor small talk and I cringe when strangers want to speak more than a few sentences to me but Im ALWAYS courteous both in person and on the road and if someone holds the door for me I ALWAYS acknowledge their deed. It feels good to be nice to people. Just dont talk too much to me.

Every time there is a thread about these "rude" places, I'm pretty sure that's where I should be living. I hate small talk with strangers. I will absolutely say thank you if a door is opened for me or other such courtesy, but I don't want to chit chat about the weather or football or whatever with some rando. People in the south think they're being "friendly" but a lot of times to other people, it just comes off pushy and obnoxious.
Or nosy...

but if you can't muster an "it's almost here man!" and raise your beer glass to the OP in that situation...there is something wrong with you.

It wasn't the lumberjack beard. Seems like half the men and a quarter of the women have those here.

Enjoying the beautiful weather?
The weather this summer has been nothing short of spectacular.
I moved here from BR about 2 years ago and find people to be very friendly. Not "thanks honey" friendly, but not the "Seattle chill" I was warned about.

I'll take your word for it, but Wisconsin has to at least he knocking on the door.
Have you ever been out on Milwaukee? Holy shite, your statement can't be further from the truth. The dudes are all urban wanksters, but the women are incredible.
