How did they do that? The machine was broken or something?

I hope it doesn't shut down because it's where the riff raff goes.

Damn! So she literally tried to steal from you.

How fricking stupid was she? She worked there and it didn't cross her mind that cameras are everywhere.

The sad thing is, she probably got away with it before.

She thought she saw a young drunk guy at 5am that she could steal from. I wasnt that drunk though

I have zero doubt I was the first person she tried this with

She probably learned this from the manager that reviewed the tapes.

The casinos we have in LA are thoroughly outclassed by the ones along the Miss coast.

L'auberge seems to go a little more in the direction of the other two each time I drop in- which isn't very often.....

Harrahs in New Orleans is my favorite casino in the state I have been to. Lake Charles has nice casinos and l'auberge in BR isn't bad. It's just kind of small, but I guess it doesn't have to be bigger.

IMO Harrahs has the best poker tables.

I've been to the Horseshoe in Shreveport once and it was okay, nothing special, but this was early 2000s. The Paragon in Marksville is one I absolutely hate, but it's due to a personal experience. I got food poison from a meat pie there. Was staying the weekend and the first night I needed new sheets. It took them over 3 hrs to bring them, with 2 or 3 more calls placed in between.

That night I felt so bad all I could do was sleep. The next morning I woke up and noticed the sheets smelled like an ashtray. Evidently they gave me unclean sheets that were used by someone who smoked. I still felt bad, but I grabbed my shite, went check out and left. Never going back to that place.

I don't know anything about the north La casinos.

But in South LA, outside of Harrah's in NOLA, and the two L'Auberge casinos (and maybe the Golden Nugget, maybe) I don't know how these other casino's survive.

The Belle, Boomtown, Hollywood, Treasure Chest, Isle of Capri - I don't get it. I guess the local poors really like pulling the one-arm bandit.

It's the lowest of the low people who keep those places open. People who get paid and go lose everything in 3 hrs.. And old people who get their monthly check who goes there once a month.

That's why they are shite holes. There is no point into putting money into them to keep them up.

I had a cousin who worked at the bar at a truck stop casino. She worked there for about 3 months. She said it was depressing. She worked nights - early morning. She said there were old people who would go in and literally lose their monthly check in about an hour.

There were the people who would always come in. They would wait until their husband or wife to go to sleep so that they could go play because they were addicted.

Serious table play at Golden Nugget LC. Don't kid yourself, it's doing just fine.

Man, what a depressing place. It had no feel of a full casino. It had the feel of a truck stop casino, low lighting, weird smells, and just sad people.

You just described 99% of casinos IMO.

The belle is down right hood. Anyone ever go to the video poker room at the fairgrounds on the 2nd or 16th of any month? Very interesting to say the least

Treasure Chest has a decent buffet. Also, unless you play poker, dont see a big reason to drive from Kenner to play.

Damn fine parking garage they have there. The footprint sucks, but it’s not going anywhere anytime this lifetime.
