You’ll find books like this all along the AT and especially in the shelters. Hiker Trash has some weird people in its ranks. I always carry a firearm on the trail and it’s not for the animals.

The only time I’ve ever really been scared in the woods was because of people. I’ve been followed by a bear in the GSMNP, but I wasn’t really scared.

Exactly why I took them. Plus, since I had already picked it up thinking it was some retiree’s trail journal; I figured I’d be pretty much fricked if that were the case. But it also could be just some junkie’s art creations.
