The fact you had the balls to take all those pictures not knowing what weird frick could be back out looking for the book says something.

It was very weird. I have 2 theories;
1 is that this was a very mentally unstable individual who is doing all the writings and drawings. All of the artistry appeared to be done by the same person, but there were two, maybe three, distinct writing styles. Maybe a schizophrenic or something. This state is filled homeless people amidst a pretty serious opioid crusts, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
The other, and the more disturbing IMO, is that this person is leaving messages for some younger teens, who may frequent that area to smoke pot or something and a teen is writing back. The pictures were all definitely drawn by the same person, and they appear to be the oldest; so I’d assume that the original owner did the drawings. Really thought about keeping the book just in case it was something like this but decided the likelihood of teens being that far out in the woods, alone, were pretty slim.
I think it was a opioid-damaged vagrant with some mental health issues and hopefully not the next Ed Gein.
