Rally's around me uses a chatbot. It doesn't hear well but neither did the workers.

Went to a rallys a few months ago and they already have this technology. There were 2 people inside cooking. They didn't have to talk to customers in the drive thru. It worked better than I expected.

The one here in Kingwood is run by a squad of buffoons, AI will be a drastic improvement in customer service

Wrong. We will be taxed more to support them. I’ve about had enough. Work to support yourself and family or cease to exist. It shouldn’t be the taxpayer’s problem.

Can you imagine AI trying to understand someone from Carencro?

Could you imagine an efficient and accurate Popeye's location?
Consumption of chicken would skyrocket.

In my younger days, I worked a Wendy's drive-thru. There are dialects that no one can understand.
My first non-farm job was Church's Chicken.
"I need a chicken's neck?"
"Ma'am, we don't sell chicken's necks."
"No, I need a chicken's neck."
"I'm sorry, but we don't have any chicken's necks."
"NO, NO ... a one piece chicken's neck."
"OH, you want to order a one piece chicken snack."
"That's what I've been saying."

why are people acting like this is a bad thing. id much rather eat from a fast food place totally manned by machines and AI than the majority of workers I see working in them. They will be efficient, predictable, and cleaner.
honestly I think the ai voice is just a stopgap until they can push everyone to use their phones, which isnt far away. you should be able to order on an app and the machine will know where you are and how long it will take for you to get there and have the food ready right as you pull up.

If fast places became completely automated and cleaned up their nasty ingredients then they could see a resurgence. As of now the service is shite and the food quality is shite.
