This level of criminality is downstream of the destruction of the black family structure in inner cities.
Also, we as a society are ignorant of what is actually at the base of destructive human behavior, and we have “freed” ourselves from the thing that allowed human culture to flourish in the first place.

Damn. Deep, and sad but true.

What if all the people who fled the crime and corruption of South LA moved and settled the empty parts of the state? There’s a whole 3/4 of the state that’s basically nothing. Stop leaving Louisiana for Texas and Georgia. Stick around.

Terrible idea. The "empty" parts you speak of are SOOOO terrible. Just move to Texas.

Ain’t it great? Moving to Nolensville from NOLA was the best decision we’ve ever made. There was more crime every night near us in Lakeview than here in a year. Only issue is the cost of housing but at least the schools are worth it.

Best of luck on your new home and location. I left Metry last year for Louisville and don't regret my decision

Grandma forwarded that to your hotmail account?

To give you an idea, US is about 6.9/100k as it stands.

Keeping the same population, but losing the murders of those cities it drops to about 6.4/100k. Losing the population and murders of those cities the US rate drops to about 6.5/100k.

Overall, the total US murders drop about 7-8%.

It will shuffle us a few spots, but won't change our top 10 status on total murders. And we aren't anywhere near the top or bottom 50 in murder rates no matter what.

agree with that. These kids need successful men that look like them, actively better themselves and don’t glorify the gang lifestyle to serve as mentors.

LBJ made sure the black nuclear family was destroyed many years ago, and as long as the procommunist politicians remain in office, it will be perpetuated. Nothing more than modern day slavery, and it’s hard to watch.

Covid was the final nail in the New Orleans coffin. Trying to talk family into moving out of Metairie. I see that going down with the city. Sad.

Still no cohesive direction from our “leaders”

Elections have consequences. This is what years of leftist policies does to a city. Find one centrist or right city experiencing what NYC, Chicago, ATL, SF, LA, NOLA, etc are seeing.

Well yeah they're terrible because there's nothing there yet and they have not been ruined yet. It could be like a clean slate. Create a new Louisiana there. Texas is over populated and has a lot going for it but also has things working against it.

You can't lump Atlanta in with those other cities. Per capita, crime in Atlanta is a lot lower.

Monroe-Ruston has potential. We need to recruit an automobile supplier or manufacturer there. And maybe some kind of research campus for LATech.
