My brother just put a 5.0 in a 69 ford pickup, little less than 5g by the time you get all the wiring and mods.

I'm taking the day off on Monday to drive around BR to get answers about this. I should also be getting a call back from the national ford rep on Monday.

Yeah, I bought the extended warranty and tire warranty and anything else I could at the time and I'm still happier than if I owned one of those antiquated arse ugly arse heavy arse shitty MPG and slow as shite Tundras.

My 2010 f150 had the timing chain rattle. I love ford but my truck is a piece of shite. I've had issue after issue with it. I'm still going to buy another one though

What's eek about that when you have 420 lb/ft of torque?
Don't have to have 4.51 gears or whatever they stick in shitty arse tundras to make a truck feel like it has some nuts.

Hmmm, even before the ecoboost. That's a 5.4 right? Those are really sluggish and bad. At least the ecoboost has performance going for it. The 5.4 had nothing.

That's disappointing.
You have me really worried now about my 2012 ecoboost.

My 2013 ecoboost had 3.55
my 2015 5.0 has 3.73

sorry dude. How many miles and have you heard the rattle yet? There are still a TON of them on the road with no issues, but be aware.

Get the 5.0
My new one is the 2nd 5.0 I've had and I love it. I got talked into the ecoboost I had and was leery of it but figured what the hell. It was a great truck for the 2+ years that I had it and really was a blast to drive. I had a decent tune on it, just enough to get rid of the turbo lag. Didn't tow much with it since my boat stays at the camp and I only have to pull that a few hundred yards to launch. Other than that I pull a trailer occasionally for work if I have a crew out of town that needs materials replenished. 74K miles in the 30 or so months I had it. Only part that gets me is we had just decided to keep it a couple more years since I usually buy a new one every 2 years.

Just get it fixed before you buy it. TSB 15-1031. Look it up, print it out, bring it with you
Posted on 1/20/17 at 5:35 pm to Popths
You're not immune to problems either. Give me a second I'll pull up a major TSB they have on the horizon.
