I haven't been on any of these apps in 6 years but I'd imagine it's like Tinder and Plenty of Fish where you can share your general location(not specific pin location) to narrow down your search to people close to you.
Back in 2014, them fat arse POF whores would inbox me like crazy with "Hey handsome. You're close to me. Want to meet up for a drink?"
Almost every one of em was in Denham Springs and couldn't drive.
They'd lie and put 70808 in their profiles to trick the distance algorithm!
