T Rex lived 65 million years ago. Stegosaurus lived 150 million years ago. That means Stegosaurus was more ancient to the T Rex than the T Rex was to us.

The day I was born is closer to the bombing of Pearl Harbor than today. When that day occurred, was the first time I really felt like I was getting older, since WWII always felt like so long ago in the 80s

Adwaita was a giant tortoise in India that was born in 1750 and died in 2006. At the time of his death, he'd been alive longer than the United State had existed.

I was born before Pearl Harbor. Lee’s surrender at Appomattox is closer in time to my birth than Pearl Harbor is to today.

The Soviet Union declared war on the Empire of Japan on September 9, 1945. At the end of World War II the Soviet Union refused to sign an official peace treaty with Japan and to this day, Russia has still not signed an official peace treaty with Japan.
