I've always had weird and/or scary dreams so I've started studying dream analysis. Anyone else here do it?

Last night, I dreamed my dog was sleeping in the bathtub under water. I'm trying to figure out the meaning, but I'm new at this and the websites give a lot of different information.

I had a dream night before last that I was flying in a swirling cone full of storm clouds and lightning (but not a tornado, more the inside of a cone with geometric borders). It was a long dream.

Flying usually means something good is happening if you are in control, the opposite if you aren't. This one is confusing because it is in between - I'm flying successfully but through a terrifying environment.

He had to pee. He was probably whining for you to let him out. Better make sure there are no wet spots in a corner somewhere.

You should see a neurologist. Might have a brain tumor.

I've had vivid dreams on a nightly basis for about 6 months now, but I would say that I have never had "normal" dreams. The dreams always make sense within the context of the dream itself but seem completely off the wall in reality.

Not every dream is trying to tell you something.
It's basically vivid and prolonged day dreaming.
Just whatever crosses your mind

I dreamed that I ate a 2 lb. marshmallow last night.

When I woke up, my pillow was missing.

dream analysis

Is bullshite.

Because it's bullshite.

The different elements of a dream cannot be given generalized meanings for millions of people. Flying doesn't necessarily mean something good is happening. It could mean you wish you had better basic daily abilities. The only way for you to approach a semblance of figuring out why you dream what you dream is to better know yourself and what is going on in your life.

There is some truth to this, however, there is also truth to some (emphasis on "some") dream analysis sites.

You have to know which ones to screen out.

Which sites? I really only think the dream means what it means to you. The larger themes are all that's truly meaningful. If a dream provokes anxiety, you're worried about something. It doesn't matter if your dog was part of a jello mold, just the emotions the dream provoked.

Had a weird one last night and I remembered it which is rare. The girl I had a crush on in kindergarten, whom I haven't seen in over a decade, was dog sitting for me. I dropped them off at a house she was at and started to drive away and she waved goodbye and never let the dogs inside. Just watched them wander off.

Then I woke up. Might be worth noting that a drank beer for a solid 7 hours straight yesterday and immediately went to sleep when I got home

I shouldn't have one. I try to limit cell phone use because I know cell phones cause brain tumors and I avoid big power lines when I can.

But, I do have headaches regularly.
