All i know is that everyone up here in Monroe has been talking about how bad the weather is going to be tomorrow. I haven't spent 3 minutes watching the weather, but is it really supposed to be that bad? I'm just excited for a lazy day without feeling bad for it.

It is about to piss rain here in Gregg/Upshur County, ETx. Woke me up. The Lightning show is unreal. Heads up, ShreveBo. The good Ol I-20 corridor is doing its thing.

Just had heavy rain and mild hail here, near Cedar Creek Lake. Waiting for a second round to hit that's just passed the Richland Chambers Lake dam.

Going to be a long 16 hours I think. Will be rolling through all over for quite a while. Stay safe at the lake.

Could this overnight round of storms take some of the energy out of the atmosphere for tomorrow?

Natchitoches is about to be woken up for sure. Rough red radar headed straight for them.

I’m far from an expert and prolly shouldn’t comment but I think that will depend more on sunshine tomorrow morning. If you wake up and central LA doesn’t have cloud cover, look the frick out

One of the reasons the morning wave on April 27th, 2011 didn’t weaken the threat was that it actually did weaken the threat but the sun came back out very quickly and instability was built back up by the time the afternoon wave showed up

There are more factors involved than just sunshine but it’s a good indicator

Fwiw, they moved the risk areas southward with the most recent release. BR is now more under the gun.

Straight line wind threat -

Also worth noting that the more recent HRRR and NAM runs have kept most of the cells discrete as the move through LA and MS.

5PM

ETA - the NAM continues to be far less bullish, so that's something.

Just got through round one in NWLa. Gonna be a long day.

Storm just came through dropping rain at a rate of almost 3 inches/hr and a huge, huge hail field broke up right before it got to my house.

I hope so. It's a light rain right now in NW AL. It would be nice if it helps us out in about 16 hours.

Ok I’ve been thinking and talking to my family and I’m not sure we are gonna leave now. We are in Oak Grove which is right on the Arkansas line in the northeast corner of the state. Is it safe to say that the projections are putting the worst stuff south of us?
