Johnny Carson’s last show was in 1992. You can draw a line from that moment to the fracturing of our nation because we used to end the day with a shared moment.

Absolutely agree that 1992 was the peak.

It was within a year or two of 1998. I’ll specifically say that Columbine (4/20/99) was the first major sign of decay.
