A pandemic that started in China really should unite us as a country but somehow it divides us

I've been able to be home and watch my first baby growing more and more every day. We will never have time with our families like this again once we get back to the regular rat race, and I'm glad I'm at home to help my wife out.

H1-B visas being revoked. Potential for college bubble to burst. Potential for sports bubble to burst.

My lazy, shiftless nephew was going to fail his last semester of high school - failing his only class (Art) because he never went and he had never done any of the 20 hours of community service over 4 years they required. Covid hit and it was all "pass everyone so we don't get sued" and he got a diploma.

Savings from not eating out or commuting. It’s added up a lot - probably $500 per month if you include Metra tickets that I don’t need to buy.

Working from home - much less travel for me. I would leave the house at 6:15 AM to catch the train to Chicago every morning. I would walk back through the door at 8:05 PM. I get an extra couple of hours with family or to sleep.

Learning to cook more stuff at home. Tried a lot of new recipes that I liked. Added them to the rotation.

Hopefully a lot of other folks have saved a little bit and has learned to cook more at home.

Over the weekend my 85 year-old mom heard my dad and I talking about the Cardinals & the Marlins having guys with Covid. When we said we hoped MLB could play through the season, she said maybe God wants us to pay more attention to him instead of worshiping sports.

No one is screaming "GET IN THE HOLE" every time Tiger Woods tees off at the PGA Championship.
