Fun fact. Thomas Jefferson also used slaves as collateral for his mortgage. So yeah. There’s that.
Edit. It gets worse. Freeing them would have bankrupted the douche. Anyway. Here’s to our founding fathers

The law does not define how it must be displayed. In most cases, we are looking at a small plaque among the hundreds of other things that are hung up on the wall in classrooms.

That should be obvious, but sadly it is not. No Patels signed the Declaration of Independence.

Hindu, Buddhism spiritual teachings are the same as Christian esoteric teachings once you strip away all of the man made dogma. All religions teach the same thing at the core. Most hardcore religionists are too conditioned to see it however.

92% of all students would look at this and say, "That's a dope elephant, Brah".

The Bhagavad Gita is awesome.

That's why virtue signaling to a small group of your constituency is a dumb idea.

Upon what type of principles was it founded?

Which of these conflicts with how you perceive our foundational principles?
quote:
I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

So, question about the new Ten Commandments law that Landry signed. Is the state going to print or engrave a whole bunch of plaques and ship them to every school in the state? Is every school obligated to print them themselves and mount them? Is the state going to send officials out to check all classrooms? How is this going to work?

Man, if you rely on public school posters to teach your kids the 10 Commandments, you've already failed them.

Yep. Then Islam. Then Satanism.

It would work like the law passed in 2020 about displaying in god we trust. Took some schools 3 years to receive the posters and implement it. It has been challenged unsuccessfully in several states, it’s more generic I suppose, but not found in any founding documents.

Get that through the La Legislature and we’ll talk.

The President of the Universal Society of Hinduism Rajan Zed said in a statement that the Bhagavad Gita, or the Gita, was a historically significant document and he believes is a treasure that should be displayed in public school classrooms.
And I agree with him. Hang that shite up.

The law specifies that it has to be on a poster at least 11x14 inches.
