The smartest kid in special ed class type mentality. Both leave plenty to be desired and have their issues, but at least New Orleans is legit fun

Not much worse than apple orchards and heroin from whatever part of the great lakes you're from.

it's without a doubt much, much worse. Ark-La-Tex might be the ugliest part of the country.

It’s crazy, with as much shitting on NWLA as you’ve been doing on here, you’d think that it would be setting murder records year after year.

hey there...current Shreveport resident who was born and raised in NOLA. Life is so much easier, safer and cheaper here it's stupid. Signed, never going back

Same here. Born and raised in New Orleans, but now live in Shreveport. S’port is dull, but it has a low cost of living, an outstanding road system, good local restaurants, and is much safer than New Orleans. The New Orleans that I remember no longer exists - carpetbaggers put an end to that.

Shreveport,

Thanks for keeping us out of last place.

Signed,

All this right here. Nothing here to set your world on fire, but it's reasonable to live here comfortably and at 35 with a toddler it's plenty interesting enough. It's got enough solid resturants to keep me interested.

Was talking w friends today how the hipster hoard from the pac NW killed actual NOLA culture. Place is unrecognizable and not just bc of crime

As bad as some of these lists can be, there no way New Orleans is second to last.

I have a feeling the numbers are cooked to fit a certain narrative.

Pretty sure Shreveport still has black people.

You’ll have a lot of education options for your kid. The Caddo magnet schools are solid. The private schools like SJB, SJS, and First Baptist are reasonably priced.

This is a stupid attempt. NOLA had everything to lose, and it did. Shreveport is just present.

Nola is done. Shreveport can come back.

Nola is a world recognized city with a rich history and culture that controls Mississippi River port.

Shreveport is a regionally recognized city that is known for being close to Texas and having casinos.

This one is not even close. The Haynesville shale can only generate so much wealth in NWL.
