We can no longer see truth. We think we can but we can't.

There's this thought that if you want to control a population, a people as it were, then control the information said population receives. Limit the information. Release lies or release information you only want people to have.
It's time however that we consider the possibility that we're being controlled, not through limiting or selectively funneling information but by the profound bombardment of information from all angles. Unyielding information, much of it utterly worthless. Information in such quantities, we simply cannot process it all. So much information, moving so fast, that if we are able to see some truth in this raging electronic river, we're almost immediately taken from it by some trivial thing that now has our attention.
It's as though Governments and institutions of power know that the truth can no longer be kept from us. That in this information age we live in, secrets can no longer be hidden. Lies can no longer be managed.
So to counter this, our institutions both political and private simply open the flood gates allowing all information through, knowing that sooner or later, all is revealed anyway whether they want it to be or not.
In doing so, they get to mix truth with lies. Disguise the truth as a nutty conspiracy theory. Set the tone, set the narrative. Tell the truth about one thing and then immediately distract from it using the sensational, hypersexual or ultra-violent. Yes, the Government killed a sitting US President, now look at these tits.
"They" have stopped keeping the truth from us. They realize they no longer have to do that, it's exhausting and in this global electronic age it doesn't work. It's futile. The truth always comes out but when it comes out on terms not of their making, it's so much easier to see. A light shines on it.
Well they've gotten savvy. They've found that they no longer have to keep anything from us. We'll either not believe the truth or the truth will, by design get lost in an ocean of information.
Yes, we're putting chemicals in your food to keep you sick so you take medications. Now watch this Instagram video of Brittany Spears dancing with cutco knives.
Yes, we're allowing illegal immigration because we want to change the demographics of this country. Now read this article and get outraged about trannies.
Yes, we engage in wars designed for corporate profit. Now watch this tiktok video of black folks fighting at Chuck E Cheese.
It's all there, in plain sight and it's not hidden in the slightest. It's just layered in the stuff we really want to see.

I feel with information either on the news or online, it’s impossible to know what’s true or false. And with things like AI and Deep Fakes, it’s becoming harder and harder to know what photos or videos are real. I never considered the information overload theory, but it makes sense. Troubling times.

The "truth" doesn't matter.
It never has.

And most of the country either ignores it or just can't see it. They have outsmarted the "voting" majority and they know it

2023 society: Brave New World and 1984 had a baby and it was raised by Idiocracy

I've suspected that IQs have been dropping for years but didn't realize how far and how gullible our society is till 2020.

Dare I say, are the progressive-minded becoming more conspiratorial?
This shite has gone on for centuries. I don't get the big surprise.

There’s some insight here but the obsessive belief that there is a superior “they” that control the minutiae of internet and media content in a giant coordinated centralized power is where it falls apart.
If these God-like controllers existed, we would eventually identify one.

The author of Brave New World warned of this many decades ago.
