The hipster was all about being anti-establishment and doing everything that was against corporate culture.

But now we’re seeing that the new millennials, these ‘yuccies,’ are working in non-traditional environments where they can wear what they want to in their work places and truly express themselves. Now with tech becoming so big, it’s affected how people want to look like: Clean, minimal, crisp. The beard has no place now.

Too bad Texas will continue to lag trends by at least a year. Hurricane force beard warnings are still in effect in uptown Dallas and Austin despite the stifling summer heat.

I fail to see the parallel here.

People who care if a beard is in style shouldn't be allowed to grow one in the first place.

I trust a clean shaven geek over a bearded geek...

I see one as professional, and one as lazy

wtf does this even mean? I hate how society now HAS to tie one thing in with another, for no reason whatsoever.

Wanna grow a beard? Go for it.
Wanna be clean shaven? Have at it.

Doing one or the other doesn't make you a hipster, or a post-hipster, or anything else. It just means you personally choose to have or not have a beard, nothing more. Geez.

I recently had a tame but full beard and I just didn't like it. Had to shave that puppy off quick.

Not all beards are hipster beards.

this cyclic behavior is the only thing that gives me hope for the new offended, thin-skinned culture. maybe soon there will be an anti-offended movement where people go out of their way to show how much they don't care what people think. unfortunately, it'll likely still be broadcast all over social media to show everyone how much they don't care what everyone thinks.

Is that really what they think?

The whole hipster image looks like it was manufactured in a corporate fashion office. Anti-establishment? Hipsters seem about as pc as it gets.

It's called yuccism, but you've likely never heard of it.

I can't grow a beard, so now I can proudly say I'm on the cutting edge of the post-beard era. I've been waiting for this for years.

At this rate, there will be a phase where it is hip to be racist as shite within the decade. Should be a good time.
