Interestingly enough, while not a legal defense it could be used as an argument to witness credibility. But the sex offender thing would probably outweigh that in the minds of the jury.

I think it would affect her credibility in the eyes of the jury but also, who cares? He might win on a single count. I don't get why he is pushing against her so hard.
As an aside, if you're watching Rekieta, I really like Steve Gosney. I hope he comes on more for future trials.

He is and has talked about it multiple times. I think it's refreshing. He does not couch or hide his beliefs because others on the stream don't agree with him.

Rekieta, Gosney, & Kurt (Uncivil Law) were having 1 hell of a death penalty debate during lunch earlier this week (Wednesday I believe)
ETA: Gosney had the chance to be a death penalty prosecutor but actually turned & became a death penalty defense attorney
