I would say, it started when they wouldn't shuffle Angela out of the picture when she was old and fat. Sure she helped build the station to what it was but it was built on attractive AND intelligent reporters / anchors.
It's fricking tv. Quit pretending hot people don't get better ratings than ugly people based purely on looks because of course they do.
Local news isn't that far from the trash heap of printed media. Younger adults don't even think about watching local news. The average age viewership for local news is something like 55.

WWL news reporting involves personal inflection from the reporters, mostly in-studio announcers. It is subtle and obvious to the extent at which the "reporting" is steered to a certain perspective. That's great, but WWL should not pretend to be bias and fair in their content. It's easy to switch the channel and find more centric reporting.

The issue people take is that we know they are checking boxes and not hring people because thry were qualified and attractive. Arguing the attractive part i get. Trying to tell people in this day and age that they weren't checking off boxes with those hires is a tough argument

That’s why the jump from “unqualified black” to simply just “black” is so easily yet erroneously made. There ARE very few if any conservative blacks or objective, non-radical blacks in a DEI controlled media. They can’t get hired.

Also Breanna just left earlier this week so one of the other girls are filling in until there's a replacement. She divorced her husband and moved to Houston
