Anyone have any experience with Farer watches?

I want this one with the tan strap.

I don't like a lot going on with my watches.

ETA: I'd wear it with navy suits/ slacks and tan loafers.

Personally, I wouldn't spend a G on a plain blue faced watch with a leather strap. If you walked in with that one and a dude walked in with a $150 watch with a blue face and leather strap I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. But it's not my money, and I think it looks nice, just not for a thousand dollars

Has an ETA-2824 which is used by many of the watches in this price range, and seems pretty comparable to Hamilton, Tissot, or other autos that don't have screw down crowns.

Honestly up to your taste in the way it looks.

The $1,000 is why I started this thread.. More about quality of movement, accuracy, longevity, etc.

The color scheme is specific to what I need based on what I wear most days.

I have both a Hamilton and a Tissot, and I like them both. If this is on that level then I'd prolly be satisfied. I wear my Hamilton automatic most days. It's steel band with black face, so I'd like this one for navy and tan.

It's a rock solid movement. Will never have any issue there.

It's 300-500 more than some watches using the same movement, but also 300-1000 less than the Tags using it.

Yeah, I just can't justify a Tag right now while saving for a house.

I think this may be a wedding gift from my fiancé

They are kind of cliche, but I do like the look. I have a Hamilton that’s similar so I won’t be buying a similar one for a good while.

Very cool. Not a fan of the polished case, but that crown is cool. Do you have a Flieger? Very similar bones to a Stowa.

I wish I had bought a more traditional A-type like that (just noticed you said you already have a black faced watch, check out the Ikarus, it looks great with colored NATOs and tan/green bands), but I'm still enjoying the colored dial.
No logo is a great touch too.

If you like it buy it. But I personally wouldn’t spend that much on a boutique brand watch. You will never get 1/2 what you paid for that in a month if you tried to sell it.

Just because it has the same movement I don't think means that it is made with the same materials/quality. I think at least from what I have picked up in my limited experience. Could be wrong.

I don't like the way the date window clips the numeral. The GMT with a similar look that they have looks more complete IMO.
