I stepped on one a few weeks ago. Made my whole leg hurt and barely slept that night.

I learned the hard way they don't die easy. Stomping on them makes it worse.

F***. THAT.

I got kids, dogs, I go barefoot all the time. If its red, its dead.

Seriously those are supposed to be the worst sting known. Not messing around with those.

Correct, if you smoosh them they will wiggle on the ground for like a day before they give up. Last time I killed one, the ants were carrying off pieces of it for dinner before it was dead.

I thought it was actually a wasp without wings. Pretty sure it's in the wasp family.

It is. The female is wingless, the male has wings, is smaller, similar coloration, and doesn't have a stinger.

Don't go studying up on what else "harmful" that is probably in your yard. You'll be killing shite all day and night.

It’s called wasp spray, not wasp and ant spray, for a reason

Wasp got me behind the ear this morning. 2/10 pain went away after an hour.

Kill cow ants with fire. Don't want any of that.

ETA the Cow Ants would be a sick minor league mascot though.

Got hit by a cow killer through my sock on the dude of my foot years ago when I was around 18. They pack a pretty serious punch. That bitch hurt for a while. And yes, they are notoriously difficult to kill. Me and friends would call them terminator ants when we were kids.

It is actually pretty interesting how they found and got rid of that first nest in Washington. It involved tying a radio tag to one of the hornets and tracking it.
that is cool. TY for the link.

A black widow

Sprayed it and it gave no fricks. Moved maybe 6” away on its web

I then got my blowtorch and killed it with fire as god intended
