I was driving down I-12 around 2005 or so, drunk dude pulling a boat passed but was swerving a lot. I honked, the dude slowed down started to swerve in a crazy way and started trying to talk shite, I flipped him off and he threw a full big gulp sized drink at me. This hit the middle of my windshield. I snapped, flipped him off again and I sped up leave him but was blocked and he kept up, after a bit I motioned for him to follow me off at around the Albany exit and he dropped in behind me, I acted like I was taking the exit but then moved back on to the interstate at the last possible second and he was left exiting. He had too much weight to move back and was stuck on the off ramp. My GF was pissed at the time because I had flipped him off again but I was adamant that he was fricked up and driving like crazy and I had avoided conflict at the end of the day. Today, I'd just dropped speed and let his drunk arse go on and not done what I did.

Yes, ashamedly I have. I was merging from two lanes to one lane. I merged with plenty of room and my blinker on. They guy behind me started blowing his horn and making frantic gestures. I ignore it and just turn up the radio a little bit. Well, he continues to blow the horn and flips me the bird and again I ignore it. The horn is unrelenting and now he is yelling out his window and flipping me a double bird with both hands. Before I realized what I was doing I slammed the truck in park, thought I messed up my transmission by the clicking sound it made. Got out and walked up to his window while he remained seated in the car looking straight ahead and he only said, "you cut me off sir". He never looked at me directly.

I know how stupid that was but sometimes the emotion just overtakes you and overrules common sense.

By the way I am in my 60's so I should be smarter.

I pulled out onto road in right lane. Car comes over hill in left lane swerving all over the place and nearly hits me. I drive up next to him cussing for him to put his phone down. Turns out he is an undercover cop so he flips his flashing lights on and goes apeshit telling me to pull over. I did and he comes up aggressively to my car saying do you know road rage can get you killed. I said well you could have killed me and you both looking at your phone while driving. He was like yeah I shouldn't be doing that but the office is sending me all kind of stuff yada yada. I said well it still could have killed me and you. He left and got back in his car

Let's just say, a finger was flipped.

I did this one time that I remember. The dude was so pissed, lol.

I've done it a few times over the years, but the last time I did it the recipient got extremely pissed. I had the window down and as he passed I laid it down tight on my truck. He sees it as he rolls by and starts coming unglued. Unfortunately for him we were on an interstate as I was exiting so all he could do was rage away while I waved buh-bye.

These days I let everything go. There are too many unhinged people out there to play games.

This. I’ve flipped a few people off, but last time was about 2 years ago. Mexican, flat billed wearing dude got all irate and started trying to run me off the road in his beater truck. Luckily I turned off the highway on a side road and he went on. Wasn’t scared of the guy, but I started thinking I had a whole lot more to lose than he did.

It just isn’t worth it.

The most dangerous people are those with nothing to lose. Avoid these types of people.

The one thing that really makes me act out is if a car is going well under the speed limit and brake checks me when I’m just trying to go a little faster than 15 mph under the speed limit and happen to catch up in them in front of me time to time. Happened last week. I get in front of them and do it right back to them but all over animated about it. Will actually take my foot off the gas and let the car coast to a ridiculous speed and when they come up on me, hit the brakes. All to prove a point.

In college a dorm buddy and I were driving back from downtown in my old Honda Prelude and a car full of dudes pulled out of a fraternity parking lot on a small secondary road and cut us off. Like an idiot I lay on the horn and we turned on the interior light and flipped them off. They rolled up to the stop sign in front of us and these guys jumped out.

I was 6’5 220 at the time so I think they were surprised when I folded out of the Honda ..the guy closest went to push me and I grabbed his shirt. When he backed away it pulled his shirt over his head and I took a wild windmill swing and hit him in the ear. He retreated.

My buddy was 160 dripping wet but he used to box in high school so he was dancing around like Sugar Ray Leonard yelling “C’mon!” with the other 2 guys just standing there second guessing getting close to him. Some words were exchanged and they left.

The whole thing was a fricking drunk clown show but made for a great story when we got back to the dorm.

Yeah, I laughed about it after the fact, because I think I was thinking of the stupid shite I yelled, but that was what did it and I just wanted to know why that specifically..

I’m a pretty calm person but this shite drives me crazy, but yeah there are a lot of unhinged folks so try not to let my emotions get the best of me. Got away with a lot of dumb shite back in my younger days that could’ve escalated real quick.

I will speed up and cut over in front of these slow mofos though. And then the dumbasses that have the audacity to honk at you and speed up once they know you’re going around them. Should be allowed to run slow left laners off the road.

Being in Houston, you have drivers that tailgate you daily. I'm headed East on Westpark Tollway, which is only 2 lanes east bound. I'm going 85 in a rush in left lane as right lane is completely full, all going 62. Speed limit is 65. Some jackass is tailgating me, despite me going 20 over. So I just turn down my rear view mirror, so I don't even know he exists and maintain speed. I then exit to go 59 North, there's a huge backed up line exiting from Westpark Tollway headed east to 59 North which I wasn't aware of because there's a tall van in front of me, so I have no idea what is going on in front of him. It's anxiety inducing bc I have no idea if there are cars going 2 mph in front of him, because the van is so tall, where I have to slam on brakes, or cars going a steady 40 mph, so I can maintain speed off the exit. Well van slams on brakes, so I have to do it. There's zero reason at the height he is, that he should've had to slam on brakes, he can see for miles in that thing and prepared better. Well anyways, as we're taking the exit to get on 59, I know the jackass tailgating behind me would instantly once merged onto 59, slam on the accelerator, cross the solid white lines prematurely, and try to get 4 lanes to the left once on 59. I anticipate this, so I do exactly what I think he's going to do. Low and behold, he does exactly what I think as I've been in this situation 500x in Houston. So he is still stuck behind me. He then passes me going to the right of me and honks, then I lay my horn on him for 5 seconds basically saying stop Fing tailgating cars going 20 over and driving like a jackass. I proceed to see him cut off like 4 cars in front of me and nearly cause a couple wrecks. Houston has the most selfish drivers I have ever seen.

The most ironic part of this all is that these kinds of drivers that go 25 mph faster than everyone else on a busy 59, and switch lanes every 2 seconds, use their blinker. Somehow using a blinker makes it okay to drive where you cross lanes 2 ft in front of a car and nearly kill people.

Life isn't all incredible stories. This is everyday life in Houston. Just people who drive like imbeciles with no regard for others that want to kill people.
