Six Flags was quite a bit better. They added more rides and added actual shade which Jazzland did not have.

I only went once as Jazzland and once as Six Flags, I believe. I don't remember thinking the SF change made that much of a difference.

No comparison of drier heat at SF over Texas vs Swamp arse in NOLA East

It was never going to survive. Putting it in the East was the biggest mistake made, no one wants to drive out there.

The documentary on Prime was so Louisiana. After sinking over $130 million into it, within two years of operations it was financially defunct lol

There was no shade. None. Just outright blazing Sun on concrete and bricks.

The rides were all right, but f it was hot

First year probably drew a lot of folks like me, who would visit a nearby park once out of curiosity, but probably never return no matter how good it was. Just not that into amusement parks.

If you like scary rides, Jazzland.

If you like safe rides, 6 flags.
Are you sure?

Every time I think of Jazzland, I think of a particular Simpsons episode.

It opened when I was in high school and we only went a few times due to the distance. Jazzland is why I have an actual fear of rollercoasters as an adult. The best thing there was the churros.

Astroworld was way better. Jazzland was an afterthought.

They had one of those classic rides that was like 150 feet tall and would bring you to the top and drop you in a free fall. Then they had a tower that did the opposite and shot you upwards at high speed.

The Bayou Blast and The Sonic Slam.

I loved the Bayou Blast bc you didnt have to go through the suspense and excruciating slow ride up like the slam. With the blast you were just sitting there at groud level and then all of a sudden you were launched into the sky.
