Well I’m convinced. we need men to compete in sports with women, and men can get pregnant.

Doesn’t this actually work against the current gender madness?

They think the guy/girl/it had a known genetic issue going on. That’s biology. It has nothing to do with a mentally messed up dude wanting to play dress up.

Gender is not "traditional gender roles".

Gender is male of female.

The alphabet loonies constantly conflate sex and gender, and then get mad when normal people conflate sex and gender.

No that's a hermaphrodite I think. I may be thinking of mosaic kleinfelters but one of them they could be born with a dick and have female chromosomes or some shite

I think we should use the terms “sex” and “sex roles” rather than using some sex/gender dichotomy that transgender people always take advantage of.

That sex/gender dichotomy originates from feminist writings about 50 years ago and wasn’t really intended to argue that women can have a penis. And I don’t totally disagree with what they were trying to argue. For example, I don’t think there’s much inherent biological reason why pink has to be a girls color and why blue has to be a boy’s color. But the feminists ended up wording that whole argument horribly, and it ended up becoming the philosophical basis for transgenderism. It doesn’t help that some people don’t want to use the word “sex” except to apply to the act, so they end up viewing gender as the real thing.

Yeah especially considering they are typically materially taller than average (though poor muscle tone)

that's actually legit. Read up on it, it's pretty interesting.

Sure but not really legit for the context being pushed in the quote in OP. Digging up someone buried 900 years ago and making huge assumptions on why the stuff included with him is just applying today’s political views on gender.

There are some actual intersex disorders or genetic anomalies that older and less advanced civilizations may have taken as proof of it being normal that some people were not male or female, but the below is the typical Klinefelters.

Did they bother to study the customs of burials in that age? Perhaps females he was close to left items of meaning or importance to them with him on his journey to the beyond?

Seems like it would’ve been helpful for the reader to know other potential customs/traditions were explored and ruled out before jumping to the Non-Binary! angle?

I smell Narratives being advanced with this piece.

A groundbreaking study has suggested
The remains, discovered in 1968 were found with items typically associated with femininity, such as jewelry and woolen garments, alongside weapons like swords, traditionally linked to masculinity.
DNA analysis revealed that the individual likely had Klinefelter syndrome This discovery implies that the person may have identified outside the traditional gender binary. The high-status burial, with valuable grave goods, suggests that this individual was a respected member of their community. This finding provides new insights into how gender may have been understood and expressed in early medieval cultures.

In other words, it’s all a load of crap. They dug someone up 57 years ago, threw everything in a cardboard box, and stuck him on a shelf until some wacko trans supporter decides to make the guy out to be a Viking version of RuPaul
