WalMart employee shot and killed in NOLA WalMart location

Witnesses say the shooting happened near the front of the store near checkout. They heard 5-6 shots, but NOPD reports one victim hit and killed.
NOPD: 2 people were shot. A store employee was killed, the other victim was shot in the foot and is stable. The suspect is being questioned.

Nola gonna Nola, but this stuff could be prevented if Walmart allowed employees to protect themselves or hired security.

I just posted about this store last week. I was in there a couple of years back and the crowd was rough to say the least. People were staring me down with the “what is a white dude doing in this store?” look.

One night my wife and I went to that location. The people behind us in line were so fricked up on Meth the guy literally fell asleep on the floor in line with his wallet open.

I’ve been a few times. Once got stuck waiting for a brawl in the parking lot. Last time, maybe a month ago, was closed for a bomb threat.

There was a shooting there a few years ago I remember because I just pulled into the parking lot and saw the cops pulling up. Then saw it on the news. Some guy took hostages or something

idk. I have a hard time believing this was a randomly targeted person. If it wasn't at work it woulda been somewhere else. Even if they were packing I doubt they would have been expecting it leaving work.

Had it happen here the other day. Poor guy was just taking his break outside.
