Ruth’s Chris and Fleming’s > Sullivan’s. And it’s not even close.

Just go back today and pay for the wine. All good.

That’s what got me hot. It was a special occasion. If it would’ve been an ‘Outback’ type place I would’ve understood, but here I am about to drop $300 on a meal and the service is shite.
I’ll go back up there today and tell the story and pay for the wine.

My wife and I had a similar experience last weekend at a classy steakhouse. I handled it like a professional.
I calmly walked into a the Men’s room and shite on top of the toilet seat.

You are a fricking dick for doing this. How much was the bottle of wine and app?
You do know the restaurant doesn't pay for this, the waiter does. A decent bottle of wine at any restaurant starts at $40, and the app was at least $12, so you stole $50 from the waiter, not the restaurant.

t a bare minimum you knew how much the wine was, you should have left cash on the table or gone to the bar and paid for it. You ordered it and you drank it and then you stole it
That was my first thought too, but then again, what is time worth? Especially 7-9 for dinner on a Saturday night and wouldn’t have time to then leave and go somewhere else for a nice meal.

Where the video of the guy that goes into the kitchen to make his own meal.

Don’t believe it was as classy of a joint as it’s made out to be... nice steak houses have waiters standing in every corner. They keep an eye out for when your drink gets empty or clearing plates when finished and cleaning the tables with crumb scrappers... so you went to a dump.

He wanted the wine to go with his steak. His meal. The restaurant ruined that. I may be 100% on his side on this one.

What was the point in leaving? Did y’all go eat somewhere else? Why not just wait another 15 minutes and eat the steak you came there for? Why not ask for a manager?
I think walking out was an irrational and impatient move.

frick em. Sometimes you have to do something to make a point. You were not trying to get a free meal, you were trying to get service. If they can't deliver then frick em and feed em fish heads.

he was probably just trying to impress his tinder date by acting like a badass when his real motive was to get away with dinner on the cheap as they probably ended up at Dairy Queen or Taco Bell

The way I read that, they never even got the app, and the waiter stoppped showing up.
If the guy hadn’t been a dick and had at least been around to let them know what was going on then it wouldn’t have happpend.
I think he should go back today and pay for the wine, because stealing is wrong, but not because the waiter deserves some sort of justice or anything. You might want to hope off that high horse of irrational conclusions buckaroo.

This.
We had already finished the bottle, now tipsy after 9, and still no meal. The waiter wasn’t even coming by to check on us. Just sitting there with a bare table and empty glasses.
Yes, I could’ve grabbed another waiter. We had seen multiple tables come and go. I was pissed and may have made an irrational move. At the same time, I wasn’t going to continue to sit there and pay for a full meal seeing how it was a 5 Star type place.
